eCAF is an integration engine; providing interfacing with existing patient, primary
care, clinical, and financial management applications.
Expensive integration engines are a thing of the past; eCAF is not available for
purchase, instead it underpins our full eKIDS suite, and is included with each and
every system in the suite.
The HL7 adapter component of eCAF enables control and management of existing HL7
feeds to save significant time and money. The adapter leverages the latest in Microsoft®
.NET Technology, providing the power and flexibility to integrate with existing
applications.
The presence of an HL7 interface engine in a healthcare environment gives more control
to an organisation and saves money and time by: Reducing the required number of
export and import endpoints Allowing for reuse of data between applications Providing
an easier method to interface new application Providing the ability to monitor the
entire system at one time providing the ability to proactively notify interested
persons using visual display and e-mail, when problems arise.
In addition to the HL7 adapter, eCAF enables integration using other industry standards,
such as SOAP, XML, TCP/IP, HTTP and FTP.
