The Community Health Information System (CMS) is an electronic, browser-based, Youth
(12-18 years) and Adult (18+ years) centric information management system; including
a centralised database, workflow, scheduling, clinical activity management and research
reporting; which utilises the latest Microsoft® .NET and SQL technology. CMS has
been designed and developed in Australia, specifically for use by Australian healthcare
and community providers.
CMS is part of D.R.A. Computing's Electronic Knowledge and Information Data System
(eKIDS), which is based on our Electronic Client Application Foundation (eCAF),
providing HL7 and XML integration to Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and other
Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems such as eHealthBook.
The community health information system is a standalone offering, but forms a key
connection with our eHealthBook utility. When used in conjunction with eHealthBook
consumers have greater control over / input into their healthcare and community
services. CMS helps enables a single information system for everyone involved in
the delivery of Community Healthcare by accepting information directly from our
Early Childhood and Child Development systems.
CMS includes flexible reporting, is compatible with existing technology & infrastructure,
streamlines data collection & reporting processes and enables enhanced communication
between key stakeholders & healthcare professionals, leading to improved outcomes.
